Jérôme Payette is APEM’s executive director since June 2015. He completed a Masters in Management with a thesis cultural development, a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Arts Management, and a BA in Jazz performance. In 2014 he was appointed to UNESCO (Paris) by the Quebec Ministry of International Relations to work on the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Previously, he was Director of development of the Laval Symphony Orchestra. Jérôme worked as an arts management consultant with ArtExpert, Torrentiel, and as a freelancer. He also worked as a professional musician.
Yzabel BeauBien has been the training and development coordinator at the PMPA since October 2015. For more than twenty-five years now, the music industry has revolved around Yzabel. She started her journey in record stores, then became a booker and artists manager, all while teaching at l’École du Show-Business and at the Trebas Institute. In 2007, she decides to specialize in grant writing and co-founds J’Imagine Consultants, a company where she manages the grants and subsidies department. In 2011, Yzabel became the president and sole owner of J’Imagine Consultants. Since 2012, Yzabel has published Quand le Show devient Business (Vol. 1 in 2012, Vol. 2 in 2015), a book that gives practical tools for artists and other people working in the music industry. Having worked with numerous artists, producers, managers, festivals, music contests and record labels, Yzabel puts her abilities at the service of the APEM.
